Tadra overlooks
the Tamavua Valley (right), a habitat for a huge variety of flora, fauna and
birds. The mangrove swamps are an attraction for fishermen winged and
human. The Fiji Goshawk, Fiji Barn Owl, reef Heron, wood swallow and red
headed parrot finch can be seen daily. Other species of parrot have been
seen on occasions. As has the Fiji Harrier and Fiji Peregrine Falcon
but that is still rare and it is endangered in Fiji. Fiji Flying Foxes and
fruit bats can also be seen daily. |
